Prerequisite.

1. You need to Download the TWRP recovery for Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A/Prime/Y1 from the following link. Here. The current and past version can be download from the following mirror.

2. Download Android ADB and Fastboot Here
3. To flash TWRP into your Xiaomi device we need a computer or PC.

Instruction How to Install TWRP.

1. First, you need to install ADB Driver and ADB tool on your computer.
2. Then, extract the content of "platform-tools" folder in "C:/ADB"
3. Move or copy paste the TWRP recovery file to the ADB Folder. 
4. The TWRP file has the original name twrp-3.2.1-0-ugg.img, you need to rename it to recovery.img
5. Then, got you your phone and enable USB debugging. How to enable USB Debugging on Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A/Prime/Y1?
• Go to settings
• Tap About Phone
• Now, tap MIUI Versions 7 times to unlock developer option.
• Now, in developer options, you need to enable USB debugging.

12. From the command prompt, now type the following command to check your Xiaomi connect to the computer or not.

• fastboot device

13. The cmd should return to show your device ID. If not, then you need to reinstall ADB drivers.
14. Then, type the following command to flash twrp recovery into your Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A/Prime/Y1 device, following with press enter.

• fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

15. Now, you will see the twrp installation, it will take a few seconds.
